The song Chand Mera Dil is a beautiful melody from the movie Hum Kisise Kum Naheen. That movie had so many good songs that this one gets eclipsed by the charm of the others. So good was R D Burman with this film. But if you love to play acoustic guitar, then you got to play this song with its simple basic open chords.

This brilliant insight was noticed by Jayswami. At first I was not sure but after playing many times on the guitar, I was convinced the Bb was definitely present.

Guitar Chords: Main Tenu Samjhawa Ki

                          

This song, Main Tenu Samjhawa Ki, has so many versions. Initially I was confused and had to Google and Youtube the song to find out. As it so happens, the song has been re-used in a recent movie called ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. Then Alia Bhatt decided to make her own unplugged version.
But I liked the original version by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan the best. And I am sure most of you feel the same. His voice cannot be replaced in this song. And so I decided to post his version of the song here.
The song is in the key of D# so it would be be a good idea to use capo to change the key to D.

The strumming pattern is simple but with an interesting technique called right hand muting. In this technique you mute the strings using right hand palm in one of the strokes. Another song which uses this technique is Tu Hai from the movie Besharam. The pattern is exactly same.

There are 3 important chords in the key of C# minor that you need to know:

The last chord (C#sus2) is only played in the INTRO part. It’s just the regular C#m barre chord with the middle finger lifted off the 2nd string, 5th fret. Rest of the song only uses C#m, A and B chords. In the Antras, the chord pattern C#m, B, A, B keeps repeating.
